Domain Name should identify your company on the net. You can select your company name or your product name as your Domain Name. 
A valid Domain Name should have only letters, numbers, or hyphen ("-"). Domain Name cannot begin or end with a hyphen and it must have less than 63 characters, not including .COM .NET or .ORG.

You can register a Domain Name by selecting either Standard Hosting Package or Park Domain Package.

A Park Domain Name is a registered Domain to the owner but no actual web space is allocated. Parking a Domain Name ensures that the name you want now will be available when you wish to add content in the future.

Once shahnetdomains.com confirms that your Domain Name has been registered, it usually takes about 72 hours before it is visible to all users of the internet.

All Domain Names registered with Internic, should have minimum 2 Name Servers defined where a particular Domain Name will be hosted.

All Domain Names hosted on Shahnet Server have Name Servers as, NS1.SHAH-NET.COM ( 63.68.249.100) & NS2.SHAH-NET.COM. (198.68.200.129) You need to be a Registrant or Administrative Contact of the Domain Name to change the Name Severs as above. For more information, please email us.

Files can be transferred to the Web Server via File Transfer Protocol ( FTP ) using FTP clients such as FTP Voyager, Cute FTP etc. You can also transfer files using "Directory Management" feature of Shahnet Control Panel. Experienced Microsoft FrontPage users can "Publish" their sites to our server. 

Yes. You can access your account via FTP 24/7. As such, you can create and maintain your Web pages on your own computer and upload files to your Web site at your convenience.

Yes ! We do offer CGI-BIN support for your scripts. We provider a separate CGI-BIN directory to our clients, where they can use their own scripts. For more help about using CGI/PERL scripts, email your queries to support@shahnetdomains.com.

Yes ! You can create web sites which have your own database. To link your database with your web site,  use "ODBC Manager" of Shahnet Control Panel.

ODBC is acronym for OPEN DATABASE CONNECTIVITY. Using ODBC you can connect your Web Site to a Database located on Shahnet Web Server. For detailed procedure for configuring ODBC, see Control Panel Help.

Control Panel is a service provided by Shah Net to their customers, through which they can administer their web site using any browser.
